The other reason is accountability. This year I heard more people than usual wondering how the nomcom reached their decisions. I like the thread that says the goal of IAB/ISOC oversight is not to judge the nomcom's results, but to make sure the process is well done. Consider using a web site to expose the count of nominees being considered, as it changes over time, and then eventually exposing the names on the short list, or even the list of confirmed nominees. I doubt the first part would require any changes to written procedures. ...Scott
