I really like the idea of the Chair being appointed well in advance. That 
way, he/she could be better prepared to hit the ground running when NomCom 
begins. NomCom is really tough on a chair who happens to have a day job. 
Any help we can give them in this exercise will be appreciated by everyone 
involved.
