Subject: submission of draft-ietf-nomcom-2727bis-08.txt
I have submitted draft-08 to internet-drafts, so it should be
distributed sometime this week.
Enclosed below is a diff of all the changes, except for page headings
and rule renumbering that resulted from moving the ISOC liaison rule
inside the rule about the composition of the NOMCOM.
All changes are subject to final approval by the working group. If you
would prefer something different than what I included it would be a big
help if you could propose a specific alternative.
No changes were included for the following issues which are still
considered unresolved:
1, 2, 3, 10, 17, 24
Avri, I think you meant to include Issue 3 in the unresolved list. If I
got that wrong I apologize and I'll include the change in the next
revision.
No changes were included for the following issues:
19, 20, 21, 22
There was a suggestion to "renumber" the document. I'm not opposed to
this but as far as I can tell this is not easy to do with xml2rfc. I
don't claim to be an expert with xml2rfc so if someone can tell me how
to do this easily (perhaps I'm overlooking a feature) I would appreciate
it.
What I understand is that to get the rules numbered automatically with
the section number included on the rule I would need to use nested
sections. But as far as I can tell to do that I need to give each rule
a "name," which would be a nightmare in my opinion. Right now the rules
are created as a list inside a section.
Maintaining numbers manually is doable but I would only be willing to do
that as part of the final edit, literally just before submission to the
IESG.
Thanks,
Jim
