Subject: [sitefinder-tech-discuss] A None Technical Comment
Okay, I have a simple comment and a question that isn't technical. My people spent a good deal of time fixing things that broke when you made the change and a few things were not capable of being fixed because of their design so we had downtime for one system on our plant floor. Verisign appears to owe us money because of a unilateral decision which should never have taken place, and which they are now defending by insulting the people who had to go fix the breakage. Verisign, here's my analogy to what you did. My company makes repair equipment for the automotive industry. We've just decided the way to do wheel alignments on cars has to change because it doesn't fit the product we want to sell. Now in order to accommodate this change every automaker in the world has to change their design and processes. Who is correct? My company or the automakers? Who will find themselves out of business? This is what you did to the entire internet industry and you really expected them to change their design's, re-write their code, and cater to your whim and when they don't you attack them for not agreeing with you. Is your management team really so out of touch with reality as to believe they have the right to make the entire world change to accommodate them? -- Kent Hamilton Manager - Systems & Networking Hunter Engineering Company St. Louis, MO US
