As has been pointed out, there are multiple methods of performing response
synthesis.  Some, like the wildcard label, are predictable and/or are
transferrable via AXFR and/or are queryable via DNS.  Other synthesis
methods do not meet this criteria.

If libraries are being replaced, it'd be better to have them able to cope
with arbitary synthesis methods, rather than a single synthesis method.
