In this context, 'host' is 'an arbitary label that is in the .com or .net
domain'.  Kee wishes to determine whether a 'host' really exists,
presumably solely via the DNS reply.  As such, whether the 'host' is a
glue record or not is irrelevant, and thus, you have not properly answered
the question.
